The International Horn Society
The International Horn Society (IHS) is an organization dedicated to performance, teaching, composition, research, and the preservation and promotion of the horn as a musical instrument.​
Since its foundation in 1970, the IHS pursues to connect artists of all ages and backgrounds across the world, and to promote horn playing, education and fellowship through events, publications, awards, and new compositions.

IHS Country Representatives
IHS Area Representatives provide information and resources about the IHS, its activities, and other horn-related events to IHS members and other interested people in their country, state, or region.They are proactive in promoting musical education as it relates to the horn (according to the IHS By-laws).

The Country Representative in Austria

Angelo Nuzzo is the IHS Country Representative for Austria since 2020.
Born and raised in Italy, trained Biomedical Engineer (PhD), Business Manager (MBA) and Horn player (MA), after a decade of international professional experience as Bioinformatician, he is currently working as Program Manager for International Funding in the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
Since he moved to Vienna in 2013, he has been playing in amateur orchestras like the Vienna University Philarmonic, the Akademische Orchesterverein Wien, the Wiener Konzertvereinigung, as well as in wind bands and horn ensembles.
